Consume, Consume, Consume

There's an old country road
Leads to a river
An old wooden fence
Surrounds all the sinners
Who stand by their graves
Wondering what they've done
Wrong

There's a train whistle blowing
Across the fiery dessert
In search for the new land
The trecherous weather's
Headed for the mountain
To preach a brand new way

And it's full of politicians, bankers and lawyers
Fast talkin' men, bent on to destroy us
And keep us from the Truth

Consume, consume, consume

Lies,
Lies
Don't Believe them,
Don't Believe them

And where else were they at
Ravishing the villages
They burn all of them
Their world is full of privilege
And you're not one of them

You're just a number

So they came up with races
Borders and fences
And job occupations,
Classifications

And aim to conquer
Divide, divide, divide

Lies,
Lies
Don't believe them,
Don't believe them

Don't believe them,
Don't believe them.
Don't believe them,
Don't believe them.

We're just one race,
One color ,
One number.
We're just one man,
One father,
One mother.
We must unite,
Before they take our lives.

Home For The Holidays

Home For The Holidays:
I'll spend today, Christmas Eve, with my boyfriend's family. His mom and I are going to bake cookies and pies and wrap up the odds and ends of pulling Christmas off. For dinner we are having French Dip sandwiches, and I made a batch of Vodka Gummy Bears for after dinner. We'll spend the night and do an early morning Christmas with Chris's parents. Chris's mom still waits up to hear Santa land on the roof, and will be jumping up and down with glee by 4:30AM tomorrow morning.

After we spend a few hours on Christmas morning with Chris's family, my sister and her boyfriend will pick us up for the trip to Anacortes. My aunt and uncle are hosting a celebration for a group of 13 at their beautiful waterfront home.

I've already wrapped up all the gifts for both our families and stacked them high on my vanity. That means no makeup for me today, at least until we load the car:

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

The McDonald's Deal on Living Social

5 Big Macs and 5 Large Fries - $13
Buy Now! from LivingSocial.com

Hey everyone,

I never thought fast food restaurants would participate in Living Social or Groupon type deals. To my surprise this morning, I saw that McDonald's has posted a deal on Living Social; 5 Big Macs and 5 Large Fries for $13. Looking at the deal in my e-mail, I showed it to my boyfriend and commented that fast food companies are geared towards serving large quantities of customers and so if they made a lot of sales on this deal it would not negatively effect the business.

After saying that, I clicked thru to the purchase page and saw how many had sold. 170,000 people purchased the deal!! I discussed with my boyfriend and then made the purchase. By the time I paid, 300 more people had bought.

The deal says that it is 50% savings, but where I live I'd be hard pressed to get 2 of each item for $13.

Since the deal is obviously great and even more obviously popular, I have decided to post it on my blog. If you want to buy it you will receive a voucher booklet in the mail in about 2 weeks. The book will contain 10 vouchers, valid for 5 fries and 5 Big Macs. You can redeem one fry and one Big Mac voucher per person, per visit. The deal expires at midnight tonight.

Think stocking stuffers! You could break the voucher booklet up and disperse it into 5 seperate stockings, or you can keep the book in your car for spur-of-the moment dinner runs when nobody wants to cook. There are so many reasons why you should pick up this deal.

When I found the deal 30 minutes ago, there were 170,000 purchased. By the time I finished payment, 170,350 had purchased, and by the time I wrote this blog to inform you all, there are 175,000 sold. This has got to be a Living Social record!

Talk to you all soon,
Hillary
